If you are interested in the subject area pathway,  the special education pathway, or the elementary education pathway, a transcript review is required.  Transcripts can be emailed to etphelp@cesa9.org or mailed to CESA 9, Attn: ETP, 304 Kaphaem Road, Tomahawk, WI  54487.  When sending transcripts, please indicate which license you are seeking (i.e. math, special education, science, elementary ed, etc).  If our transcript review indicates that you are eligible for the desired license, we will invite you to apply.

If you are seeking a Reading Teacher 316 license, please view the admission requirements for that license.

We do not provide a 1098-T, as we are not awarding credits.  However, we would suggest discussing this more with your tax advisor.  We can provide a general letter stating Excellence in Teaching Program fees paid in the applicable year if needed.

Coursework is done online through Google Classroom.

You will need internet access and a computer with microphone and camera capabilities.  A laptop is preferable so you can have it at any face-to-face meetings as well.

Subject area pathway: A passing score on the applicable Praxis test is required for those with a GPA of less than 3.0 in their subject area.  This will be determined during the transcript review. If a Praxis test is required, that fee is the student's responsibility.

Special Education licensure: All Special Education candidates must pass the Foundations of Reading Test (FoRT) before being recommended for licensure.  If the GPA in any of the core content areas (math, English, science, social studies) is below 3.0 or if there are not enough credits in each core content area (minimum of 6 in each), a passing score on the Praxis Middle School Content Knowledge Exam will be required.  This will be determined during your transcript review.  Both of these fees are the student's responsibility.

Elementary Education licensure: All Elementary Education license candidates must pass the Foundations of Reading Test (FoRT) before being recommended for licensure.  This fee is the student's responsibility.

It is a mandated requirement that student teaching be done full-time for one full semester or part-time for two full semesters.  

Traditional student teaching is typically uncompensated.  If you are working in a district on a license with stipulations, your full-time job will be considered your student teaching.
