Subject Area General Education licensure: A passing score on the applicable Praxis test is required for those with less than a 3.0 GPA in their subject area. This will be determined when you have a transcript review completed. If a Praxis test is required, that fee is the candidate's responsibility.
Special Education licensure: All Special Education candidates must pass the Foundations of Reading Test (FoRT) before being recommended for licensure. If the GPA in any of the core content areas (math, English, science, social studies) is below 3.0 or if there are not enough credits in each core content area (minimum of 6), a passing score on the Praxis Middle School Content Knowledge Exam will be required. This will be determined during your transcript review. Both of these fees are the candidate's responsibility.
Elementary Education licensure: All Elementary Education license candidates must pass the Foundations of Reading Test (FoRT) before being recommended for licensure. This fee is the candidate's responsibility.
