- Each course includes detailed information on the topic, and instructional and assessment practices.
- Courses build upon each other.
- At the completion of each course, the candidate is required to submit a complete lesson they have taught demonstrating all 5 components with special emphasis on the current class component.
- The candidate will also submit a short video clip demonstrating their ability to teach the target component.
- Coursework is available 24/7 through a series of recorded lectures, live meetings, and other videos and readings.
- Candidates will need to acquire the following resource: "Explicit Instruction: Effective and Efficient Teaching" by Anita Archer and Charles Hughes. This resource is required before starting course one.
